Four people who knocked on the door of the Manoogian Mansion Tuesday evening were taken into police custody and to the hospital for evaluation, the Detroit Police Department said.
Limited information is available on the incident the department says occurred around 6:40 p.m.
"The individuals were known to apparently harass the mayor at city council meetings," according to police spokesman Rudy Harper.
Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan was not home at the time and police handled the situation without issue, mayoral spokesman John Roach said. The four arrested were "not invited" to the residence along the Detroit River, said Harper.
