A third Dearborn man has been arrested and charged in connection with a suspected terrorist plot that allegedly targeted LGBTQ+-friendly clubs in Ferndale around Halloween, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.
Ayob Nasser, 19, has now been charged, along with Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud — who were arrested last week — in an amended criminal complaint with allegedly conspiring to provide material support to ISIS.
The announcement comes as ABC News reports that two New Jersey teens — Tomas Kaan Guzel, 19, and Milo Sedanet, 19 — were also arrested in connection with the Halloween plot in Michigan. ABC reports that Guzel allegedly was in contact with the Michigan group.
In Michigan, all three Dearborn men also face charges of possessing firearms intended to be used to commit an act of terrorism on behalf of ISIS.
"The amended complaint adds to the already chilling allegations of their radical Islamic terror plot involving AR-style rifles, shotguns, handguns, and other tools for a tactical assault," said a press release issued by the Detroit U.S. Attorney's Office.
